Ghibli Park just premiered its first original short film made specifically for the park itself. "Majo no Tani no Yoru" (Night of the Witch's Valley), co-directed by Goro Miyazaki and Akihiko Yamashita, screened for the first time on July 8, 2026 at the park's Orion Theater. As Goro Miyazaki put it, since Ghibli Park has none of the typical theme-park rides, making a film became the park's best attraction.

The park's reach is expanding beyond Aichi Prefecture too: a touring "Ghibli Park Exhibition" opened its first stop at Osaka's Minato ATC Gallery on July 18, running through September 26, recreating park settings like the Spirited Away bathhouse alongside a giant Haku dragon sculpture.

Totoro remains the studio's most enduring mascot through all of it, and this small lace bracelet — Totoro paired with an acorn — is a low-key way to carry a piece of it. It's sold out direct at CDJapan, reachable now through their Proxy Shopping Service.
